Dear Sunny Boy. Nearly two. Full of sweetness and piss & vinegar. He seeks new independence and clings to me at the same time. Raising a child is a sweet and bitter experience for me. Sometime being a mom is easy and sometime I feel defeated.
Lentils & Stickers
In an effort to improve Sunny's coordination we play with lentils and stickers. I witnessed a difference in his eating right away, so much less mess. Thank god! The spoon is reaching the mouth so much more efficiently. Playing with the lentils is messy at first but it's nothing the vacuum can't handle. And, this is way better then cleaning up food messes that stain.
The stickers have their benefits as well...I found stickers in Targets $1 area that are wonderful. Wonderful in the sense that they don't stick very well. Which means if he misses the intended surface they don't adhere so viciously that they leave a mess behind. Nice.
(While I love talking about my dear sweet offspring...I'm done.)
Music, me likey.
spooky.
toe tap worthy.
dreamy.
FOOD.
KALE PESTO.
A BUNCH OF KALE. A FEW BULBS OF GARLIC(ACORRDING TO YOUR LIKING). HALF A LEMON. E.V.O.O.. A HEAPING MESS OF PARMESAN. SALT&PEPPER TO TASTE. AND LOTS OF WALNUTS
Basil is out of season. Kale is not. Pine nuts are grossly expensive, walnut are cheaper. Branch out from the traditional basil/pine nut standard and eat it. Trust me.
